W9YB will be hosting JOTA for area Boy Scouts at the W9YB club shack at PMU 370.
Jamboree On The Air is a time honored event that teaches scouts about the operation and merits of Amateur Radio by having scouts make contacts on HF/VHF/UHF and even on IRLP with other JOTA stations.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 21 from 10 am – 4 pm.
Bobby Sambolin – KP4CI is a W9YB member and local Scout Leader. He will be bringing the scouts to the W9YB shack in groups to work contacts on the various radios with W9YB members assisting them.
This event will be a fun activity we hope for the scouts as well as a great opportunity for W9YB to help the BSA community.
